One thing that I really liked about my stay at Carcavelos Surf Hostel & Surf Camp was the charming decoration throughout the hotel. From the cozy common areas to the vibrant surf-themed accents, it added a delightful touch to the overall ambiance. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the thoughtful design that made the hotel easily accessible for people of all ages. It was a pleasant experience to move around the premises without any difficulty.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be for the staff to be more considerate of noise levels during late hours. Sometimes, the enthusiastic energy of the young staff working there resulted in a bit of noise that could disturb a peaceful night's sleep.

The noise level can be disruptive, especially for light sleepers. Some guests have mentioned that there were instances of dogs barking excessively and people talking loudly on their phones, impacting the overall tranquility of the place.

The hostel offered a comfortable stay with a nice swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach. the location was also a major advantage, as it was conveniently close to the train station, making it easy to explore the coastal area from Lisbon to Cascais. the staff was friendly and accommodating, contributing to an enjoyable experience.
The bathrooms were in need of maintenance and could be improved. the kitchen storage was not well-maintained, which made it unappealing for dining.
